Dana is an experienced trustee and conservator especially skilled in working with seniors for the last 20 years. She is a licensed California Private Professional Fiduciary and member of the Marin County Estate Planning Council. Dana completed the Cal State Fullerton program in Private Professional Management for Trustees, and has spoken at events on choosing and being an effective trustee.
As a licensed fiduciary Dana currently serves as trustee, successor trustee, conservator, executor or attorney-in-fact for Durable Power of Attorney for Assessment Management or Health Care, or representative payee. She also has extensive experience preparing trust (court) accountings and has worked on projects investigating financial elder abuse, including working with a local police department and has served as an Expert Witness. Dana is well-regarded for her ability to put together effective and conscientious care teams to support seniors in being able to stay as independent as possible and in their homes for as long as possible. Her experience also includes Special Needs Trusts, Charitable Remainder Unitrusts, and Life Insurance Trusts. Dana has served on the state education committee for the Professional Fiduciary Association of California (PFAC).
Prior to becoming a professional trustee Dana spent fifteen years as a business consultant for major corporations and small businesses both domestic and international. She is experienced in the design and implementation of business processes and is also an expert in developing management effectiveness in the areas of communication and customer satisfaction. In applying this expertise to her fiduciary duties, Dana is a very strong advocate in the service of her clients' interests.
Dana majored in Asian Studies at the University of California at Berkeley. She is a lifelong learner whose curiosity and passion fuel her work.
Jean has been a California Licensed Professional Fiduciary for the past fifteen years. She is an experienced trustee, executor, and agent under a Power of Attorney with a strong communications and project management background. She is a member of both the Redwood Empire Estate Planning Council and the Marin Estate Planning Council, and the Sonoma County Bar Association (non-attorney member). Jean completed both programs at Cal State Fullerton for Professional Fiduciary Management for Trustees and Professional Fiduciary Management for Conservators. She currently serves as a director of the Professional Fiduciary Association of California (PFAC) and was president of the Northern Region 2000-2002.
Prior to joining Fiduciary Advantage Jean spent over twenty years as a consultant, trainer and coach for organizations in the U.S. and abroad,and developed programs and coached in communication and effective coordination for the Institute for Generative Leadership, Strozzi Institute, Presidio School of Management, and Yale School of Management. Jean majored in Latin American Studies at the University of Redlands and Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM) and is fluent in Spanish.
With her years of experience helping people fulfill their personal and professional legacies and her ability to listen deeply to others, she is well able to understand and carry out the wishes and intentions of trustors and relate appropriately and compassionately with beneficiaries. Her skills in both relationship and complex project management allow her to develop and maintain strong, trusting relationships with clients and provide excellent organizational expertise to the administration of estates.
In her time off she rows crew as part of an 8-woman team on the Petaluma River.
